Learn the Game by Seeing It In Motion
Every board game journey begins the same way: you know nothing about it, and gradually you learn enough to make meaningful decisions. Expedition Gaming is built to make that journey as easy and as quick as possible.
Experience the game in motion while the rules fall naturally into place.
Why I Started Expedition Gaming
I love the experience of board games: working out the puzzle, watching a plan come together, struggling over difficult decisions, finding ways to feel clever, and sharing all of that with the people around the table.
I started Expedition Gaming because I believe far more people would enjoy these games if they could get past the biggest barrier to entry: learning how to play. Too often, people hit that wall and turn away before they ever reach the part that makes the hobby so rewarding.
My goal is to get viewers into that experience quickly. I want them to see the game in motion, understand the decisions being made, and learn the rules naturally as we go.
For people who are new to the hobby, I hope the videos make these games feel more approachable. For experienced players, I want them to get straight to the part they already love: seeing the puzzle unfold, watching strategies develop, and experiencing the game around the table.
What You Can Expect
See the Game in Motion
Get into the actual play quickly instead of sitting through a long rules explanation first.
Understand the Decisions
Follow why choices matter, what players are weighing, and how the game’s systems connect.
Learn as We Go
Rules are introduced when they become relevant, so the learning stays connected to the experience.
Meet the Opposition
Yeti
Mr. Alien
Expedition Gaming playthroughs feature one of two highly trained tactical specialists.
Sometimes, that job belongs to the Yeti. For science-fiction and science-themed games, Mr. Alien takes over, presumably because of his extensive off-world experience.
Both are formidable opponents. Neither of them has ever helped with setup or cleanup.
